If you want photos of your life, as it’s happening…
You need a photographer that can meet you where the adventures begin
Let me guess…
You’re tired of perfectly poised photos and studio sessions that feel picture perfect and entirely unlike your life, right?
It’s not that you don’t love an instagram feed full of travel pictures, it’s just that you’ve been on enough adventures now to know:
the real beauty of a new experience is all the little moments
The magic is meeting new people, learning new things, and trying something you’ve never done or seen or heard of before.
You wish you had someone with you who could document how the whole trip felt, instead of just the occasional selfie in front of that cool monument or the view featured in every blog about the place you’re visiting.
👋🏼 If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re in the right place!
Meet your new best friend:
Ela (she/her/hers)
I’ve been fortunate enough to have taken many adventures since I was a tiny child, camera always in tow.
Some of the places I’ve been with my parents I can’t remember, but I’ve always loved paging through the old-school photo albums and pouring over pictures of these trips until those photos felt like my own memories.
As a queer person and a nostalgic artist, I 100% believe that photographs are the best souvenirs because they create tangible memories for everyone important in our lives to view and reminisce over, even after we can no longer remember them.
I developed Adventure Portrait Sessions because in my own travels I’ve always found
that the best moments of a trip are the ones no one is thinking of capturing.
I wanted photos that could show me
all the times when my eyes lit up
because I learned a really cool new fact about a place,
or the moments of silence and respect I shared with the land.
I wanted to remember
all the silly moments along the way,
when I’m collapsing three feet from the trailhead
or laughing with my friends
as we tried to climb things we should 100% not be climbing.
I wanted my memories to showcase
all of the joy that I found in traveling,
even in the moments that were difficult
or that wouldn’t make sense to anyone else but me and whoever was along for the ride with me.
If you’re tired of:
- waiting for insta-bae to come along before you go on adventures,
- asking strangers to take your photo,
- coaching everyone through how to get your best angles,
- white-washed history lessons,
- or planning everything yourself
Hi! 👋🏼 I can help you:
- plan your next adventure,
- learn about indigenous history and other cool facts ,
- all while capturing the photos that will bring you back to exactly how this moment in time felt
- and providing beautiful documentation of all the things we’ve learned together.
